Description
If you have not come across Goisot before, then you are in for a treat. Think top Chablis, but in this case made with Sauvignon Blanc instead of Chardonnay. This wine is made in an area in North Burgundy called St.Bris. Once wines from this region were included within the Chablis appellation, but were exiled due to the onset of phylloxera. Now the region has become obscure and unknown, whilst the potential for making some of the finest wine in Burgundy still remains. Founder Jean-Hugues Goisot recognised this. He was a pioneer for using biodynamic farming in the region of Burgundy. The result is a wine that offers all the expression and elegance of Burgundy’s best, at a snip of the price tag.
