Sauvignon Blanc, Vigna del Lauro 2016

Sauvignon Blanc, Vigna del Lauro 2016
As refined and expressive as you’d expect to find in Sancerre or Pouilly-Fumé, just with a touch more ripeness. A great example of Friulian Sauvignon.

Description
Vigna del Lauro are a family owned estate with multiple small plot vineyards, that can be found in the area of Friuli. Situated between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, they are able to make white wines with a beautiful balance of ripeness and freshness. This is a region that goes under the radar but is much revered by those who are familiar with the delicate, poised and mineral wines that it produces. Wines from this region tend to come with a price tag, however Vigna del Lauro have achieved exceptional quality whilst keeping things affordable. Their single varietal wines show beautifully different expressions of the local terroir (growing conditions), whilst representing exceptional value for money.
